I love to get traffic to my Web sites, because in online endeavors, traffic equals money and profits. Of course, a big part of getting traffic is first getting lots of quality oneway backlinks. It usually takes either a lot of time and hard work or a lot of money to get enough links to really make a difference. However, there are a few services on the Net that are affordable and still powerful enough to get good search engine rankings and therefore lots of traffic for your sites.

I have discovered one of those services that is run by someone I am happy to now call my friend, Konrad Braun. Konrad is one of those very rare Individuals that is a true pleasure to do business with. To say that Konrad over delivers on his backinking service is an understatement. He is a real stand-up guy and offers a great serivice.

If you are in a hurry to check out his services and see what they can do for your sites and your bottom line go now and checkout Empire Marketing.

Konrad agreed to let me do an interview and you can find the results below:

Konrad, Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

You bet.  Believe it or not, I grew up on a farm in South America (Bolivia to be exact).  Ever since the first time I seen a computer (about 12 years ago) I knew I had to get myself one.  When I came to Canada, a friend of mine gave me one of his old computers and I would sit on it till 3 in the morning just about every night even though I had to get up 4 hours later to go to school.  It took me a couple of years to become more and more familiar with the Internet and here I am today, doing what I love doing, and making a pretty good living doing it.

If you could write one sentence to describe what it takes to be successful and making money online what would it be?

Focus on one thing, take consistent MASSIVE action, and commit to doing what it takes to get the results you desire!

Can you briefly describe your backlinks service?

Yes, backlinks are one of the key elements in the Google ranking algorithm that help a website rank better, and I have set out to create a system that creates backlinks on various web platforms on a consistent basis… be it forums, social bookmarking sites, RSS feeds or other mediums.  Customers always asked if I could spread their backlink building campaign out over a longer period of time to avoid any possibility of Google labeling them as spam and the “25+ backlinks a day” service does just that at a very affordable price!

When I approve a new order, it immediately gets submitted to a handful of socialbookmarking sites.  After that, I will use my system to build 25 or more successful backlinks to that site – every single day.  These backlinks then get uploaded and out comes an RSS feed that gets submitted to about 100 RSS feed sites – every day.  Customers can of course track the process by logging in to the customer panel – where they get detailed reports – as well as their very own RSS feed that they can promote where they please! This is the core of the system, but of course there are all kinds of other neat features and more are getting added every week.

How long have you been offering this service?

The whole process started in October of 2009, but here really is no comparison between the service customers got back then and what they are getting now.  It has come a LONG ways.

Do you use the same methods on your sites and if so what kind of results have you seen?

Absolutely.  The whole idea behind this service was to be able to plug all of my sites into a system that would create quality backlinks on a regular basis… so yes… I totally use this service on my own sites.
The results have been phenomenal.  I currently dominate about 3 very competitive and very profitable niches with some of my sites as a direct result of this service!

What makes your service different than other forum links services on the net?

For starters, most forum link building services post spam adds all over the net – oftentimes on not very friendly forums (or should I say, VERY friendly forums).  I make every effort to eliminate those kinds of sites and also will never post a spam ad on any website.  I always try to make tasteful profile and signature backlinks that appear to  be legit to the majority of webmasters.

Secondly, unlike any other service I know of, you will never get hundreds or even thousands of backlinks to your website in one single day followed by no backlinks the following day.  I make every effort to make all backlinks appear as natural as possible by only building 25+ backlinks a day – every day!

To take advantage of Konrad’s backlinking service head on over to Empire Marketing and get at least 25 quality backlinks every day of the month.

What would you do to get EDU links? There is a popular belief that EDU links are the holy grail of search engine optimization. Are  EDU links really that powerful and is it worth going to a lot of extra effort to get EDU links?

The theory is that Google assigns a lot of authority to websites of colleges and other educational institutions. I don’t think there is any question of whether a link from an authority site is better than a link from a non-authority site. If I had my choice of one link from authority site or  10 links from various non-authority sites I would take the one link any time.

Considering the above statements and speculations the question boils down to whether educational domain sites really carry more authority than other sites. Just like in other areas of life there are very few absolutes in search engine optimization. My opinion is that EDU links on average are actually superior to other links.

There will be some people who will disagree with me primarily because of a statement that one of the Google employees made in early 2008. John Mueller, a Webmaster Trends Analyst at Google, stated:

“In general, I would like to add that no, backlinks from .EDU domains generally do not get ‘additional credibility from Google.’”

I don’t really know if that statement as expressed by John is entirely accurate, but even if it is it still does not dissuade me from pursuing EDU links. Even if Google does not explicitly ascribe more value to EDU links that does not mean that on average EDU links are not more valuable than other links.

I base a lot of my SEO knowledge on my own experimentation and testing. Obviously, I read what the experts say, and take that into consideration. However, I very rarely take those statements as fact unless I have experienced them with my own sites.

I devised a simple test to compare the authority of EDU sites to other sites in general. While it is in no way a scientific test or proof that all EDU sites carry more authority than other sites, it does make it pretty clear that EDU domains are usually authority sites. Here is what I did and you can feel free to try this at home:

I made a list of 10 college sites, 10 corporate sites, and 10.net sites. I tried to balance each list with a mixture of large medium and small organizations. I then visited each site and checked the Google page rank. Obviously page rank is not the only indicator of a sites authority but it is a pretty good one regardless.

What I found was that the small colleges had page ranks of five or six, the midsized colleges six or seven, and the large colleges eight or nine. The.COM and NET sites had about two less page rank than the corresponding EDU sites.

I still wouldn’t stand on my head to get EDU links, but if I had a fairly easy way to get those links I would go for it. Well, it just so happens that I do know a fairly easy (and free) method of getting EDU links. On the other hand it is actually harder to get links from high page rank corporate and network sites.

If you register for my free newsletter you will get a report that explains in detail how to get free EDU links. This report usually sells for $27, but I have obtained the rights to provide it for free to my subscribers. Please note if you already subscribe to my newsletter you either already have this free report or receive it shortly there is no need to subscribe again.

We all know that getting one way links is a good thing and we also know that we really don’t want to buy one way links. But, what if we could get free one way links? There are plenty of linking services out there and I even use and recommend some of them, but they are not free. I have decided that my newsletter subscribers deserve some free one way links and I have found a way to provide them.

This is a work in progress and is not quite ready to use at this writing. However, I did want to let you know that I’m working on on the project and that all newsletter subscribers will be able to use the system and get one or two free one way links for as many domains as desired. If you are already subscribed to my newsletter [OWL] you don’t need to do anything — I’ll announce when the service is ready to use.

If you are not yet subscribed to the newsletter, you can do so right here and you will get in on the free linking fun as soon as it is is ready.

Before I tell you why you need one way backlinks perhaps I should provide some information on what they are and how they differ from other types of links.

The term backlink is used to differentiate  incoming links to your website from outgoing links or links between other websites. One way backlinks are links from other sites that you have no outgoing links to. The situation where you link to another site and they link back to you is called two way or reciprocal linking. There is also three way linking but that’s another topic for another article.

Most webmasters are familiar with reciprocal linking. This type of link exchange has existed since the beginning of the Web. Many of the millions of websites on the net have mostly reciprocal links and few or no one way links. There is nothing wrong with reciprocal links, so why all the fuss about one-way backlinks? The simple answer is that search engines place more value on one way backlinks.

Search engine ranking is largely a popularity contest. A link from a website is like a vote in that contest. Google and the other search engines use the logic that if one site links to another without requiring a link back they consider the linked site to be a valuable and relevant resource. Both reciprocal and one way links have the potential to give your site direct traffic, but one way links will give a much bigger boost to your search engine ranking.

The above gives you a glimpse at how search engine ranking works but is not the whole story. There are a number of factors that make some one way backlinks much more effective in improving your search engine ranking than others. Here are some of the major factors to consider:

  • website authority
  • links per page
  • website and page topic
  • keyword rich anchor text
  • keyword context
  • keyword diversity
  • link diversity

More explanation of these factors will need to wait for future articles and I will link to those articles from here as they are written.
